The Account Manager is responsible for developing and managing key local customer relationships within their Regional Operating Center (ROC.) They work collaboratively with the existing sales team to ensure we are able to deliver on our promise of excellent and timely customer service.

Responsibility

  • Provides the appropriate level of service to specifically assigned existing customers with a focus on retaining/expanding existing business relationships. Understand the activity, business and needs of the customer, provide sound information and advice for them.
  • Communicates clearly with internal stakeholders to provide full cycle customer support.
  • Sets up accounts in the ERP system and coordinates with Ops, Accounting, Supply, Dispatch, Third party logistics to ensure full communication.

  • Contract Support
  • Creates customer level reporting, such as monthly volumes, contract management and accruals.
  • Create daily invoicing for customers and follow up with customers regarding past due invoices.
  • Manages customer triage. CSR will serve as the daily contact to the customer.
  • Create daily spot pricing report and daily margin report. Identify areas of concern and quickly address with Operations, Supply, Dispatch, etc.
  • Follows and enforce all Parkland USA’s policies and established procedures.
  • Employee must demonstrate safe work and risk management practices. Communicate and enforce all safety and security issues. Report and process all employee and/or customer incidents or unsafe acts in accordance with Parkland USA’s POEMS policies and procedure.
  • Ensure that confidentiality of data collected and stored are maintained.
  • Employee is expected to set priorities and meet deadlines. Employee is responsible for planning and carrying out assignments, resolving conflicts that arise, informing and coordinating with others as expected. Employee is accountable for ensuring the technical accuracy of their work and maintaining good working relations, both internal and external to Parkland USA. Self-direction and motivation are also expected.
  • Must meet performance expectations. Must complete all duties as assigned
  • Frequent travel by conventional means including aircraft, motor vehicle and the like within the region and to other locations as required.

Qualifications:

  • High school degree or GED equivalent
  • 3 years of sales or customer service experience
  • Strong customer relationship building skills, ability to build trust and rapport, ability to build long term collaborative relationships internally
  • Self-starter ability
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Proven ability to cope with conflict, stress, change and crisis situations
  • Strong Excel skills and experience in ERP systems
  • Excellent time management skills
  • Strong presentation skills
  • Strong math skills
  • Ability to conduct business reviews with customers
  • Ability to engage with multiple stakeholders
