JOB DESCRIPTION: Maintenance Department

Hours: 2nd Shift

RESPONSIBILITIES

Primary duties to include, but not limited to the following:

I. Maintenance Functions :

• Study blueprints, technical manuals and engineering specifications to maintain and fix equipment.
• Identify the tools, equipment and skills necessary for repair and maintenance work.
• Install new machinery.
• Perform basic diagnostic tests.
• Check machine performance.
• Dismantle machines and remove parts for repair using hand tools, chain falls, jacks, cranes or hoists.
• Test damaged machine parts.
• Replace the damaged and worn parts if necessary.
• Reassemble machines after the completion of repair or maintenance work.
• Clean and lubricate machinery.
• Keep records of repair and maintenance work.
• Work with the production personnel to schedule preventative and break-down maintenance.
• Perform root cause analysis for any abnormal conditions/failures, take required corrective and preventative actions to prevent recurrence of such conditions.
• Welding: TIG, MIG, OXY-Acetylene.
• Basic computer skills: Excel, Word etc.

• Installing and maintaining electrical motors, industrial drives, PLC's, VFD's and MCC's.
• Strong Troubleshooting skills with Allen Bradley Software, programming a plus.
• Troubleshooting 24 Volt and 120 Volt Control Systems.
• Run/bend conduit and pulling wire.
• Read electrical schematics for 440 V - 480 V voltage and control circuits.
• Repair and maintenance of all electrical and control functions in the facility.
• Install and maintain various electrical controls, automation, and instrumentation.

II. QUALITY:

Maintains and verifies that all current quality assurance measures are being followed and communicated to supervisors, production employees, office personnel, and customers. Assists in the implementation of new procedures as needed. Maintains proper equipment records.

III. SAFETY:

-Operates equipment as per the SOP, following directions as provided.

-Keeps work area clean and organized.

-Utilizes all of the required PPE as required by the task being performed.

-Helps keep others safe in the work place by looking out for them and participating in safety related improvements.

-Follow the safety protocols for the use of all equipment.

IV. OTHER ACTIVITIES:

Available to work on any assigned shift including scheduled overtime (includes

Sunday). Establishes personal growth and works with fellow employees towards continuous improvement and teamwork.

V. Additional Requirements:

• Lifting up to 50 pounds
• Climbing ladders
• Operating forklifts
• Operating man-lifts and working at heights up to 120 feet
• Using welding equipment
• Frequent kneeling, bending, and working with arms raised over head
• Working on back, under equipment
• Ordering parts, working with and overseeing vendors
• Operating chain hoists and other lifting equipment
• Working on 120V and 480V electrical systems

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $20.00 - $22.00 per hour

• 10 hour shift

Experience:

• Industrial maintenance: 1 year (Required)
• Mechanical knowledge: 1 year (Required)
