Position Summary
The administrative assistant will act as receptionist and assistant office manager for the ARC. The assistant will help new/prospective students schedule appointments with the ARC Staff and other departments (CAPE, LWC, Counseling), answer questions about the department’s services, monitor the department’s phone and email accounts, scan texts, file documents, assist the ARC Coordinator with development, marketing, and facilitation of departmental programs and events, represent the department during campus events, and complete projects such as resource creation and organization of the department’s physical spaces. During front desk shifts this position will also provide reception support to the Learning and Writing Center.
Qualifications/Special Skills Required
Must have a pleasant attitude, good customer service skills, good computer skills, eager to work, punctual and be able to handle confidential information without incident. Knowledgeable in Microsoft Word and Excel
Physical Requirements
Able to sit, stand, bend over, lift up to 30 pounds.
