Youth Mentor (Weekday) Job at Whetstone Academy
Summary
The Youth Mentor is responsible for ensuring a physically and emotionally safe environment for students and staff, adhering to the structure of the daily schedule. YM will also assist with the supervision, implementation, and facilitation of problem-solving groups and recreational activities, identifying and intervening potential crisis situations.
Job Duties and Responsibilities:
- Provide a nurturing environment and close supervision of students.
- Utilize natural and logical consequences to appropriately address student behavioral problems.
- Employ relationship and counseling skills effectively.
- Work effectively with co-workers.
- Complete all necessary student documentation.
- Attend, participate in, and complete all mandatory training as directed.
Schedule:
Monday - Thursday: 12:30 pm to 10:30 pm
