Job Title: Youth Development Specialist Salary Range: $48,000
The Youth Development Specialist provides trauma informed, culturally relevant, in-person youth development services to sixty-five(65)youth per year per school, designed to promote protective factors and strengthen resilience. Provide youth development activities which may include sports, arts, outdoor recreation, gardening, community service projects, mentoring, and other activities that give purpose and encourage self-care, healing, and provide mutual peer support. Attend county-indicated trainings for youth development practitioners.

This position will be part of the YMCA SCYS program and will work with the Montgomery County Public Schools.
Education:
High School diploma required.
Experience:
Experience working with youth and parents from diverse populations.
Experience working with the school system (preferred).
Certification:
CPR/First aid/OSHA certifications (may be completed during employment).
