This position is expected to start at $22, with potential to increase over time based on expanded job responsibilities, experience, and growth within HopeSource.


Responsible for providing client mentoring, coaching, and oversight of direct services to clients in Youth Homeless programs. Caseload determined by Program Manager.

  • Provides client mentoring and coaching in the HopeSource Youth Homeless programs. Works with other local agencies in providing services to shared clients.
  • Coordinates with Hope U staff to place clients in Hope U Life Skills and Work Skills classes and ensures that educational goal component of client’s Stability Plans are met. Meets regularly with clients to ensure Stability Plan goals are met, assess effectiveness of training, assess additional educational or family needs and establish additional educational goals.
  • Responsible for recruiting local housing providers for participation in Youth Homeless Program and keeping the inventory of potential housing ahead of need.
  • Responsible for coordinating with Housing Team to enter prepared shelter clients into HopeSource Housing Programs at levels that satisfy all grant requirements and program strategies.
  • Responsible for ensuring that clients participate and complete all Stability Program goals and planned Hope U One/One Coaching activities.
  • Coordinate and maintain accurate case file documentation, client characteristics, and program utilization and information for Youth Homeless Programs including management of data in CAP60 database and state HMIS database with Data Specialist.
  • Coordinate preparation of program reports, as required by funding source, Youth Homeless Manager, Senior Management, and Executive Management.
  • Coordinate preparation of program billings as required by the Fiscal Director and funding sources.
  • Represent the agency in public setting.
  • Assist the leadership in developing new programs, program structures, and service delivery mechanisms to enhance, expand, and improve services for families and children.
  • Attend staff trainings, staff meetings, and other professional trainings
  • Perform Youth Homeless intakes and refer clients to appropriate housing programs
  • May perform housing program data entry in Microix and HMIS
  • Performs other duties as assigned
  • Understand firmly each grant and the contract requirements.
  • Responsible to understand coding (GL/Dept/Grant/Expense) for PO's and to properly code and allocate activity reporting.
  • Responsible to know program budgets and available spends.
  • Meet organization's documentation requirements for program adherence, finance, and file accuracy.
  • Responsible for coordinating with service agency's monthly developing working relationships.
  • Responsible for local outreach addressing homeless clients.


Requirements:

  • Experience in providing direct client services.
  • Experience in a managerial or supervisory position.
  • Experience in working with youth, individuals and/or families in crisis.
  • Current Washington Driver’s License with an acceptable driving record and proof of automobile insurance, or access to reliable transportation

Preferred:

  • Bachelor’s degree in a field directly related to families, case management or to the delivery of client services or equivalent experience
  • Proven ability to network with other organizations and service groups.
  • Proven ability to prepare reports and handle extensive written communications. Working knowledge of basic computer programs.
  • Bilingual English/Spanish preferred.
