Job Responsibilities:

  • Plan and Communicate HR and FIN test strategy/plans, test cycles and test progress at each relevant stage
  • Ensure testing phase is properly planned and staffed. Lead test phases test entry and exit review milestone meetings for end to end, integration testing, parallel testing regression testing and user acceptance.
  • Establish and lead the HR and FIN transformation testing aligned to the Workday @Scale program – with focus on delivering a repeatable test approach, test phases and test workstreams to cohorts of big bang (HCM &FIN) implementation.
  • Lead sessions/workshops for the design, development, and delivery of a comprehensive test plan with test collateral & test case development and test data preparation aligned to design, process flow, security and outcome for the Workday HCM and Workday FIN working with Functional leads, Technical leads, Business SMEs to identify and capture test cases
  • Lead defect tracking: reporting, documenting and resolving all test defects and appropriate resolution through each test phase – ensuring all documentation / decision logs, test outcomes and test results are captured and appropriately logged.
  • Onboard or lead and coordinate onboarding, Manage and support the various suppliers, 3rd Parties, downstream system owners and business throughout the testing process.
  • Setup, delegate, and chair defect triage meetings throughout testing
  • Providing daily coordination and support of all testing related activities and Hold Testers and SIs accountable to the testing plan and expected outcomes.
  • Evaluate test results, schedules, resources, and risks for program reviews.
  • Manage the testing processes and ensure practices are followed or implemented and deliver and continuously improve the overall effectiveness of testing activities.
  • Develop/control procedures and checklists to ensure that all areas of the testing processes are well defined and functioning
  • Publish test execution, defect summary and daily/weekly status report to all the stakeholders
  • Monitor and report weekly on progress and key testing metrics and Escalate potential issues or concern to the PMO
  • Monitor and transition testing activities to the Business after the go live

Required Skills:

  • 4+ years of IT Technical professional experience in Workday, HRIS, or FIN ERP systems
  • 2-3 years of strong Workday integration skills
  • Security Admin experience leading, designing and configuring Workday security matrix and maintaining security groups, roles, permissions across all/most modules
  • Deep understanding of Workday products either/or HCM as well as a specialist capability in Security/Test


Desired Skills:

  • Functional Lead in the Workday ecosystem is ideal
  • Architect Workday solutions that ensure that all work streams are cohesive and cross functional impacts are considered and mitigated
  • Configure and maintain security groups, roles, and permissions across all Workday modules and users
  • Serve as an escalation point for critical functional security issue resolution
  • Conduct security reviews periodically and ensure compliance
  • Serve as subject matter expert and assist peer teams in mitigating security risks and consulting on best practices
  • Build and maintain a knowledge base of best practices for managing security for Workday platform
