Summary / Objective

WKS is searching for a Pricing & Business Analyst to be based in our corporate office in Cypress, CA. The pricing analyst functions as a collaborative partner with brand leaders and finance to analyze and execute strategies that will deliver on financial results. The ideal candidate will have the ability to work with complex data sets to develop pricing models that help determine competitive menu pricing based on multiple sources of data.

A variety of different factors must be regularly evaluated to determine changes to our menu pricing. Ongoing margin pressures in each of our brands balanced by competitive considerations make this a continuous review and adjustment process. For certain brands we utilize outside consultants who also provide similar pricing advisory services to our franchisor in that same brand. In other cases we do all of the analysis internally, but for all concepts the pricing analyst position will be responsible for making specific pricing change recommendations, implementing the changes, and running post analysis to share with concept leaders & senior leadership.

What You'll Do

· Support development and execution of effective pricing strategies

· Collaborate with concept leaders and external pricing consultants to develop pricing rules and strategies that will support achievement of sales and margin targets

· Assess data from a variety of internal and external sources, deriving insight into pricing strategies and market trends

· Utilize quantitative and qualitative methods to analyze competitor pricing, margins, and monitor impact (transactions/behavior shift/competition)

· Implement price recommendations and lead pricing support for alternate channels (catering, delivery, online, high cost markets/locations)

· Usage of statistical modeling methods to articulate impact of various pricing strategies, including their effect on product mix, margins, and revenue

• Store specific analysis primarily related to pricing, but could expand to other areas of the P&L
• Present findings and analysis at all levels of the business
• Influence strategic decisions based on analysis and pricing recommendations

This position sits within our Finance department, but will work very closely with all members of the Senior Leadership Team (SLT), each Concept Leader and other support center departments.

What You’ll Need

• Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent (Finance/Accounting/Economics/Statistics)
• 3-5 years of quantitative pricing or analytics experience in QSR, CPG or retail
• Knowledge of rules-based pricing and/or pricing optimization
• Strong analytical skills
• Decisive - Uses a framework or process by which to make decisions, sometimes with incomplete data
• Excellent interpersonal skills, ability to persuade, communicate vision and motivate people at every level, cooperative working style.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills
• Demonstrated skills with MS Office applications

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $75,000.00 - $100,000.00 per year
