What success looks like in this role:

Key responsibilities:

The XMO (Experience Management Office) Automation Engineer will work across multiple internal organizations and service delivery practices to ensure that developed capabilities and underlying service components are adopted, utilized, operating and evolve within the established and agreed parameters, to meet the needs of the enterprise.

The role will also support process reengineering efforts for operational delivery, assists in technical standards development and architecture development.

  • (On-Prem Solutions ) Responsible for infrastructure and platform deployment, and associated agents’ implementation/distribution for 1E Product Suite/1E Tachyon, Nexthink, Aternity, or any other Experience Management application needed.
  • (SaaS Solutions ) Responsible for coordination of updates with vendor, and associated agents’ implementation/distribution for 1E Product Suite/1E Tachyon, Nexthink, Aternity, or any other Experience Management application needed.
  • Designs and develops functional specs and automation solutions based upon 1E Tachyon (SCALE/LiteSQL like scripting) to improve delivery of IT services, reduce incidents and selfheal end-user devices related events
  • Leveraging automation to supplant tedious administration tasks. On Windows, this includes PowerShell, SCCM and GPOs. On the Macintosh, this includes JAMF and shell scripting.
  • Integrates with 1E Tachyon platform APIs for new workflows or enhancing existing applications to automate operational support processes.
  • Identifies and addresses 1E Tachyon platform performance bottlenecks in highly available environments.
  • Configures and reports relevant Key Performance Indicators to determine deployed 1E Tachyon solution health.
  • Work hands-on with client engineering and operational teams and 1E to debug deployed solutions issues including test and replication of the issues presented
  • Builds and maintains documentation of process, environments, and run books as they relate to 1E Tachyon platforms/solutions development and lifecycle management activities.

You will be successful in this role if you have:

Key qualifications

  • 7+ years of experience as a System Administrator for workplace/end-user computing production environments built on Microsoft SCCM, Microsoft Endpoint Manager (Intune/SCCM) and/or VMWare Workspace One
  • 5+ years of experience with Windows based systems performance tuning and load testing methodologies.
  • 5+ years of experience with Shell/PowerShell or LiteSQL/SQL-like scripting/development.
  • 5+ years of experience in coding/scripting runbooks that utilize RESTful APIs;
  • 5+ years of strong design, coding, testing and troubleshooting experience and performance issues with workplace specific systems (end-user devices);
  • At least 3 years of demonstrated experience in documenting, designing, and re-designing processes in an enterprise IT support environment.
  • Previous working experience with platforms such as 1E Tachyon or Nexthink is a plus.

Certification/Education Preferences

  • Bachelor’s or master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Business Information Systems, or closely related field (or equivalent work experience);
  • ITIL Foundation Certified.
  • Industry recognized technical certification(s) in one or more desktop support areas (e.g. Microsoft 365 Mobility and Security, Microsoft 365 Device Management, Administering Microsoft System Center Configuration Manager and Cloud Services Integration VMware Workspace One/VCP-DW etc.) is a plus.
  • Certification with 1E Tachyon, Nexthink, or Aternity is a plus
