About the Job

The Wellness Attendant creates a welcoming and safe exercise environment that ensures the cleanest, most efficient workout experience for YMCA members. Individuals in this position welcome, connect, support and invite members to be active and deliver outstanding service to all members and guests. They connect YMCA members with available resources in the branch and wellness offerings. The candidate is expected to maintain general knowledge of the facility, programs and activities of the Y and provides service and information to members while creating a safe environment for all.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

  • Minimum 18 years of age.
  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Must be available early mornings, evenings, and/or weekends.
  • Minimum of 6 months experience in customer service or equivalent; knowledge of health, nutrition and/or fitness.
  • Current YMCA-approved First Aid and CPR certifications or obtain within 30 days of hire.
  • Proof of COVID Vaccination.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Language skills in Spanish.
  • Certified Personal Trainer or Group Exercise Instructor.

All employees working with the YMCA are considered to have supervisory or disciplinary action relationship over minors. Job offers are conditional and contingent upon background clearance. Pursuant to the San Francisco Fair Chance Ordinance and CA Fair Chance Act, we will consider for employment qualified applicants with arrest and conviction records.

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $17.00 - $22.00 per hour
