Pipe Welder Responsibilities:

• Weld Procedures for Piping
• TIG – stainless to stainless 304 & 316
• TIG – stainless to carbon 309
• TIG – carbon to carbon ER70S – 2
• TIG – sanitary stainless food grade tubing purge welded
• Welder to receive direction of the pipe fitter and site foremen.
• Must be proficient in Setting up welding machine (and proper argon purge as needed)
• Assist pipefitter and general labor with fiend install of pipe in racks/stands.
• Must be efficient in welding pipe in position.
• Assist Pipefitter in pulling measurements.
• Welder is responsible to brush and clean all welds performed.
• The welder is 100% responsible for the quality of the weld.

Pipe Fitter responsibilities:

• Pipe fitter to receive and follow direction from the site foreman.
• Pipe fitter is required to create their own isometric sketches.
• Must be proficient is interpretation of drawings, specifications, isometric sketches, and/or instructions provided to layout and perform the project.
• Pipe fitter to use laser plumb bob, laser chalk line, and/or laser level to most efficiently layout and install pipe hangers.
• Must be proficient in pulling field measurements and preparing an accurate and complete material takeoff list.
• Proficient with all the tools of the trade - GF saw, chop saw, bandsaw, pipe threader, basic hand tools etc.
• Inspect, examine, and test installed systems using pressure gauge, hydrostatic testing, observation, or other methods.
• Lay out full scale drawings of pipe systems, supports, and related equipment, following blueprints.
