JOB SUMMARY:

The Welder is responsible for prepping, assembling, and repairing MIJ product line.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

  • GMAW welding of carbon steel products
  • Reads and interprets drawings (including weld symbols) and specifications for each job
  • Familiar with GMAW welding processes.
  • Adjust welding machines to achieve desired results within parameters of established welding procedures
  • Support and perform hydro testing of manufactured joints
  • Scheduling and execution of work based on work orders and routers
  • Transacting products to next stage in production utilizing Oracle system
  • Crating and kitting finished product for shipment
  • Assist with material handling functions (to include crating) using forklift, overhead crane and pallet jacks
  • Maintaining a safe, clean, and hazard free work area
  • Comply with all OSHA and company safety practices and regulations

JOB QUALIFICATIONS:

  • High School Diploma or Equivalent
  • 1+ years of GMAW welding experience
  • Ability to read and interpret drawings and work orders
  • API/ASME Certified preferred
  • Ability to work independently and with minimal direction or supervision
  • Plasma cutting experience a plus
  • Commitment to work safety in all aspects of the position
  • Commitment to regular and timely attendance

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

Hard to Very Hard Work: Spending time in excess of 8 hours in a stationary position, generally standing. Physical demands may include stooping, kneeling, touching, feeling, reaching, standing, walking, pushing, pulling, lifting, grasping, talking, hearing, repetitive motions, positioning self to utilize equipment properly, and lifting and/or transporting items up to 35 pounds. Pay: $54,000.00 - $65,000.00 per year
