Job Description
A family in Rye, NY seeks a fun, and outgoing Nanny to assist a very busy and loving family with 2 boys. The chosen candidate should be caring, loving, and compassionate. Must have excellent swimming skills, a valid driver’s license, and someone local or near the Rye, NY area would be ideal. If you are a vibrant nanny with great energy and personality, this is the job for you!
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Always ensuring the safety of the children
- Plan appropriate activities and games with the 5 & 7-year-old boys
- Exercise common sense and the ability to take initiative to accomplish tasks and make decisions
- Maintain a constant line of communication and report to the parents
- Taking children to and from playdates and other activities
- Packing and unpacking children’s belongings as needed when traveling
- Assisting with bath time/shower and bedtime
- Assist with laundry and light housekeeping of children’s rooms and play areas
- Assist with meals, and snacks for the children
- Assist with kitchen tidy-up, cleaning the area after snacks, and loading or unloading the dishwasher
- Running errands and procuring children's supplies as needed
- Occasional travel, for ski trips over the weekend in the winter months (will be given plenty of notice to plan)
Compensation: $25 - $35 per hour (Depending on the experience)
Requirements
- Must have experience working with middle-aged boys
- Excellent references are required from current and previous employers
- Minimum a High School diploma or some college education
- Minimum 3 years of related experience working for private families and young children
- Certification in CPR & First Aid
- Strong English communication skills, both written and verbal
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Polished, poised, and professional
- Intelligent with strong problem-solving abilities
- Detail-oriented with exceptional organizational skills
- Flexibility to work overtime, nights, and weekends
- Good swimming abilities
- US work authorization
- Valid driver’s license and confident driver
- Must follow all CDC guidelines against covid-19
