This position works within the Infrastructure Department and is under the direct supervision of the Lead
Wastewater Plant Operator. They perform the daily activities as instructed to operate and maintain the
City’s Wastewater Treatment Plant as required and permitted by the Florida Department of
Environmental Protection Operations.

Duties:

• Ensure the proper operation and maintenance of the wastewater treatment plant as set forth in the

• Independently performs assigned work under the Lead, or Chief Operator.
• Independently performs chemical analysis & mathematical calculations; comprehend results of

Skills/Qualifications:

• Expert knowledge of the rules, regulations and public laws pertaining to sewage treatment plant

• Ability to operate hand tools & light equipment.
• Expert knowledge of chemistry, microbiology, and mathematics as they apply to wastewater treatment.

Professional Licenses:

• Valid Florida Driver’s License
• Class A or higher Wastewater Treatment license.
