Overview: The Canon U.S.A. Logistics Division receives, maintains and ships inventory of various Canon products. Located in our Dallas Regional Office, Irving, TX Distribution Center, the entry-level Warehouser will pick and pack merchandise into proper containers and handling units while maintaining accurate inventory levels by verifying item numbers This position requires full-time presence at your assigned office(s)/worksite(s). Responsibilities: - Pick, package, and transfer requested items. May report stock damage and spoilage. - May perform related clerical duties, such as preparation of shipping documents, control of pick sheets, and maintaining records. - Store and retrieve merchandise from inventory location(s) as directed by the Warehouse Management System (WMS). - Prepare orders for shipment, which includes packing, sorting, wrapping, weighing and labeling parcels and palletized merchandise in a manner which ensures the occurrence of transport damage is minimized. - Load and off – load trucks following established distribution guidelines and procedures. - Assist with regular inventory control procedures, verifying that merchandise in stock corresponds to the inventory report Qualifications: - Requires general education and/or vocational training. - Warehouse experience preferred. - Typically requires ability to use computer terminal and/or mobile RF device for tasks including basic inquiries, order processing, shipping document generation and updating inventory levels. - Ability to successfully complete Powerized Industrial Truck (P.I.T.) training and certification program per Company policy and Division standard. Includes but may not be limited to fork lift, slip sheet attachment and clamp attachment. - This position requires the ability to lift and move heavy objects, typically up to 50 lbs., but occasionally may require the ability to lift more than 50 lbs. with assistance. - Work environment is subject to ambient temperature and humidity conditions. - Ability to work 8:30am- 5:30pm. - Ability to work adjusted work schedule during peak periods. Includes earlier start time and/or later completion time, particularly during end of month period. The company will not pursue or support visa sponsorship for this position.
