Job description

SCOPE:

Loads, unloads, and moves materials within or near plant, yard, or work site by performing the following duties. Continuously supports Sofidel’s Employee Personal Practice Policy.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

1. Supports Sofidel America’s Good Manufacturing Practices and HACCP to promote a safe, sanitary and hygienically sound workplace.

2. Reads work order or follows oral instructions to ascertain materials to be moved.

3. Loads and unloads materials onto or from pallets, trays, racks, and shelves using a lift.

4. Conveys materials from storage or work sites to designated area.

5. Stacks or assembles materials into bundles and bands bundles together.

6. Scans labels on pallets, rolls, or other containers.

7. Secures lifting attachments to materials and conveys load to destination.

QUALIFICATIONS:

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.

Education/Experience: High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Language Ability: Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and quality and procedure manuals

Math Ability: Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
