Position Summary:

Maintains showroom and restroom facilities. Picks, racks, and transfers merchandise. Performs deliveries as needed. Assists with loading and unloading, and packing furniture for customer pick up.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Supports the showroom by rearranging and setting up displays.
• Maintains the cleanliness of the showroom and restroom facilities according to company standards.
• Picks, racks, and transfers merchandise from the warehouse to the store.
• Performs deliveries as needed.
• Assists with inventory cycles and audits.
• Assists with showroom displays (e.g., carries, moves furniture; hangs pictures and mirrors; places lamps on tables).
• Packs/ wraps merchandise for customer pick-ups. Assists with loading merchandise into customer’s vehicle.
• Cleans and maintains facility including: showroom, bathroom, lunchroom (e.g., vacuuming, sweeping, mopping, emptying wastebaskets, cleaning windows, replacing interior and exterior light bulbs).
• Submits requests for cleaning and maintenance supplies.
• Unlocks showroom entry.
• Receives and assembles all accessories for the showroom.
• Applies fabric and leather protection to merchandise as required.
• Ensures that items being transferred to the warehouse are pulled, tagged, wrapped, loaded and accounted for.
• Operates high lift to rack, pick, and transfer merchandise.
• Performs light carpentry duties and repairs furniture with small tools/machinery.
• Assists in the loading and unloading of containers.
• Performs duties to prepare for special/sales events (e.g., blows balloons, puts up banners/flags). Performs other related duties, as assigned

Requirements:

• Able to read, follow directions, and write
• Top physical condition
• Must be able to lift 75 lbs.
• Able to use small hand tools and equipment
• Able to operate high lift; go on a high ladder
• Dependable
• Willing to do janitorial work
