Raymond West is currently looking for a sharp Warehouse Supervisor to join our winning team! The Warehouse Supervisor coordinates, provides leadership to, and reviews the work accomplished by assigned staff in the area of specialty/function. The subordinate group may be non-exempt and/or exempt and will generally possess a wide variety of skills and/or knowledge, performing somewhat difficult to complex tasks. Supervision is provided directly or through other supervisors and/or team leader employees. May supervise more than one shift and/or area of the facility.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
  • Manage multiple searches with varying priorities.
  • Oversees the day-today operations of a group or groups of employees including the training and development of subordinate staff, estimating personnel needs, assigning work, meeting completion dates, interpreting and insuring consistent application of organizational policies.
  • Provides data and analysis concerning departmental and individual performance. Evaluates, recommends, and implements changes in methods or procedures in assigned area(s) of responsibility.
  • Plans and schedules the work of a section, department or organization, or multiple sections, departments or organizations for maximum effective utilization of employees, equipment and material within budgetary, cost and quality standards.
  • Estimates needs and assigns work to meet completion dates in accordance with schedules fixed by business plan, and or management.
  • Conducts performance evaluations, makes hiring decisions, and takes disciplinary action including termination.
  • Fosters a safe work environment.
  • Arranges for proper maintenance of machines, equipment, and facilities for which responsible.
  • Required to initiate and communicate a variety of personnel actions; e.g., employment, termination, performance and salary reviews, disciplinary actions, scheduling and/or approving overtime.
  • Responsible for budgeting, controlling costs, planning, scheduling, and procedural change.
  • Regular attendance in the workplace is required for interaction with others and to support teamwork

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
  • An Associate’s Degree in a related field is preferred.
  • Two or more years of experience in a supervisory/management role is preferred.
  • Two or more years of employee work experience in the specified discipline is required.

LANGUAGE SKILLS
Be able to speak, read and write fluently in English. Be able to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Be able to write routine reports and correspondence. Be able to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit and talk or hear. The employee frequently is required to reach with hands and arms. The employee is occasionally required to stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; climb or balance; and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.

WORK ENVIRONMENT

Works in a factory setting. Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) is required in accordance with Company policy. For forklift operation, required to obtain and maintain Forklift Driver Certification through the Company and operate the forklift in a safe manner. Required to stand for long periods of time and manually lift/move/manipulate parts up to 50 pounds or use cranes/hoists to move heavier materials. Temperatures may be extreme; elevated in the summer, cold in the winter. Needs to be able to cope with stressors and demands that are associated with the job and/or the work environment so that acceptable and defined levels of performance are maintained.


P ay Range:
  • $55K-$75K
