Job Description


Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Supervise daily activities of all warehouse distribution functions. Manage an efficient fulfillment process for customer orders and oversee compliance to organizational policies and procedures.

  • Schedule and assign warehouse employees tasks to fulfill order shipments
  • Manage all warehouse/distribution activities
  • Manage competing priorities between sales and operations
  • Support order fulfillment and inventory movement
  • Oversee order pulling and packaging; ensure accuracy and safe handling for delivery to customers
  • Supervise loading of all outbound shipments
  • Process order returns by customers
  • Maintain adequate stock of packaging material
  • Supervise receipt of all inbound deliveries from suppliers verifying accuracy
  • Inspect orders prior to storage or shipment
  • Collaborate with suppliers and LJS customer service to resolve any discrepancies in shipments received
  • Investigate and reconcile causes for lost, damaged and/or incorrect shipments and make adjustments in processes and in the system as necessary
  • Ensure inventory location accuracy
  • Review metrics related to site performance for continuous improvement opportunities
  • Occasionally assist with cycle counts
  • Oversee a clean and organized facility
  • Supervise and maintain appropriate maintenance for packaging equipment, lifts and delivery vehicles
  • Enforce policies regarding security and safety
  • Train warehouse employees
  • Participate in the hiring process; conduct interviews
  • Evaluate employee performance and conduct performance reviews
  • Maintain ability to operate delivery vehicle and packaging equipment as needed
  • Ensure compliance with DOT rules regulations appropriate to our fleet and routes
  • Maintain compliance with all company policies and procedures
  • Other duties as assigned by manager

Qualifications


Education and/or Work Experience Requirements:

The knowledge, skills and abilities required to perform the daily tasks and job duties bulleted above are as follows:

  • 1 to 3 years' experience in supervising a warehouse/distribution operation
  • 3-4 years of warehouse experience
  • Stand up reach and sit-down lift forklift experience required
  • Ability to operate a non-CDL delivery vehicle up to 26’ in length and 26,000 GVW
  • Proficiency in: Word, Excel, Outlook, UPS Worldship and prior experience with a fully integrated ERP system
  • High School diploma or GED required
  • Post – secondary education preferred
