Essential Functions:
- Develops and implements policies and procedures for various warehouse / production activities including verification of
- Performs inspections of physical condition of warehouse and equipment. Prepares work orders for repairs or requisitions
- Collaborates with department heads in the coordination of warehouse activities with other functions including
- Directs salvage of damaged or used material.
- Collaborates in planning personnel safety and plant protection activities.
- Provides leadership, ensures adherence to Halperns’ Steak and Seafood policies and procedures and applies corrective
POSITION PROFILE
- Interviews, hires, train, and retain staff. Conducts performance monitoring of staff, initiating follow through with
Mentors, motivates, and develops staff and acts as a role model and resource to them.
- Routinely monitors, manages and controls budget, analyzes variances and takes appropriate action and develops plans for
- Performs other duties as assigned.
- Must have good written, verbal, organizational and communication skills as well as problem-solving capabilities.
- Must have ability to prepare and deliver presentations and speak at minor functions as a departmental representative.
- Must have the ability to multitask, prioritize and be able to work independently or within a team environment.
- Must be able to perform fundamental mathematical functions
- Must be able to develop solutions to a variety of problems of moderate scope and complexity and reference policies and
- Knowledge of spreadsheet, word processing, presentation, email and internet software applications.
