Are you honest, dependable, not afraid of physical or mental labor? We are looking for Warehouse File Clerks that have the abilities to function independently as well as being a Team Player. Must have effective organizational and communication skills. As the job title implies this is for a Warehouse File Clerk, these positions are in a warehouse, that does include warehouse conditions of being dusty; not air conditioned; working in all kinds of weather conditions, hot, cold and everywhere in between; and moving boxes that can weigh up to 100 pounds. Essential Duties: • Team Work• Customer Service• Driving the county vehicle to the Warehouse for transporting boxes • Utilizing the Order Picker/Forklift to retrieve files• Utilizing the rolling stairs to retrieve files. • Lifting boxes than can weigh up to 100 lbs. • At time moving files from office to warehouse• Packing and transporting file boxes between locations. • Assisting with warehouse projects as needed. • Keeping warehouse and work areas clean and tidy.Part of shift could include working in the downtown offices doing filing, clerical and other office assignments as needed:• Conducting computer searches for relevant information identifiable with either plaintiff or defendant.• Conducting computer searches for unknown court case numbers and/or marriage licenses and divorces.• Filing and retrieving current and recent documents and files relevant to civil court cases to include small claims, special courts, civil jury, appeals, divorce, probate and licenses. • Filing and retrieving older criminal files pertaining to victim’s protective orders, felonies and misdemeanors.• Maintaining a records control tracking system for all files removed from the area and requires the timely return of files to the Court Clerk’s Office.• Answers telephone requests for information.“All employees serve at the will of the Court Clerk,” and can be assigned to work in any area, at any time, as needed and directed by the management.”


Experience

KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS:• Maintains physical stamina and strength required to move heavy equipment and product weighing up to 100 pounds• Able to promptly answer high volume phone calls and citizen requests for assistance.• Good communication skills.• Detail oriented.• Works well with others• Able to handle stressful situations with courtesy and tact with citizens that could be emotional, excitable and/or upset over a law enforcement or court action.• Positive Attitude• Willingness to learn and develop• Motivated and self-directed • Willingness to follow the chain of command system of management system.


Education Required

High School Diploma or GED.Possess one to three years of experience in a general clerical or administrative service and support capacity; or equivalent combination of education and training. Experience of county government and /or a County Clerk’s Office experience is highly preferred including a court services data base system.EOE: Equal Opportunity Employer
