POSITION SUMMARY

The Warehouse Associate is responsible for picking parts and components and delivering them to manufacturing.

ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES

· Pick and pull components from inventory for use in manufacturing.

· Receive machine kits from vendors for machines, retrofits, and field changes.

· Separate machine kits by sub-assembly.

· Run shortage reports from ERP system to determine shortages.

· Pull components from inventory to complete the sub-assembly.

· Issue the components to the jobs in the ERP system.

· Issue the components to the jobs in the ERP system.

· Responsible for completing jobs in the ERP system.

  • Ensure all required materials are issued to jobs.
  • Ensure all non-required materials are unissued to jobs.
  • Complete all operations on the job prior to shipment.

· Transport components to production departments or warehouse in an accurate and timely manner.

· Perform work with awareness of and adherence to safety procedures and regulations.

· Maintain neat and orderly appearance of racking and dock areas.

· Release materials to appropriate production cells.

· Maintain accurate inventory records on EPICOR.

· Operate forklift, pallet jacks, order picker and other material handling equipment.

· Backup for Shipping and Receiving Technicians.

· Maintain warehouse area in accordance with our 5s process.

· Maintain good housekeeping.

POSITION SPECIFIC COMPETENCIES

· PC literate

· Attention to Detail - Diligently attends to details and pursues quality in accomplishing tasks

· Communication skills - read, write and understand English

· Basic math skills – addition and subtraction

· Operate sit down lift truck and Order Picker

POSITION REQUIREMENTS

· Minimum 1 years’ experience in warehousing, stockroom, shipping and/or receiving preferred.

· Experience working in a production environment preferred

· Working knowledge of production machinery including electrical and mechanical components a plus

· Blue print reading a plus

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand for a minimum of 8 hours per day. The employee is frequently required to grasp, handle and feel objects, control and manage tools, and use hands and arms. The employee is occasionally required to walk, stoop, kneel and crouch. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 75 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.

WORK ENVIRONMENT

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly exposed to moving mechanical parts. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate but at times loud. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is occasionally exposed to fumes or airborne particles.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $18.00 - $22.00 per hour
