Position: Video Quality Specialist

Department: Media & Information Technology


Part Time: (20 hours per week)

Hourly: $21.63 per hour

Schedule: Somewhat Flexible M-F (Work around school schedules as needed)

Location: On-site at Provo Utah Campus.


Descripion

Provides multimedia development and support services for the learning management system for The Noorda College of Osteopathic Medicine. This position will operate in a manner designed to support the goals of the institution by developing multimedia materials for curriculum components as well as providing video editing.


Responsibilities

1. Provides consultation and support services in instructional design and technologies to enhance student learning and effective teaching for new and existing courses.

  • Supports the quality assurance for online course model adopted by the college
  • Supports the on-line learning environment through training, development, and implementation, and promotes the expanded use of course management software tools.
  • Supports training materials using college styles, standards, and development tools.

2. Reviews course multimedia content during the design, development, and delivery phases for sound instructional practices

  • Works with all faculty and staff to structure content for the best learning experiences for online and onsite learning.
  • Helps incorporate innovative methods of content delivery in the online and onsite environments using appropriate technologies.
  • Collaborates with college personnel to ensure that educational resources are accessible, updated, and functioning properly.
3. Creates and edits segments of hands-on video clips.
  • Works with faculty and staff in designated fields to develop copy and multimedia content.
  • Promotes best practices for assessment and learning.
  • Analyzes and evaluates new instructional tools and technologies and recommends appropriate tools and approaches to improve course design.
  • Works collaboratively with members of the Media & Technology Department as assigned.

Qualifications:

Education:
High School Diploma or GED. Higher Education students are encouraged to apply.

Experience:
  • 1 year of Multimedia Experience preferred
  • 1 year of Data Management preferred

Skills & Abilities
:
  • Highly professional with honest, genuine, direct communication style, excellent interpersonal skills and emotional maturity with the essential ability to demonstrate tact, discretion, and job diplomacy. Our Content Video QA will be highly skilled, great at reviewing and communicating needs for faculty content, someone who can handle a wide variety of projects, and work with varying production styles. Knowledge of Microsoft Office, Camtasia, Canvas, Box, Pronto, and Panopto.


Must be:

  • Proactive, innovative, versed in aspects of video production.
  • Quality and effectiveness driven, self-confident, with ability to influence and effectively communicate with various constituencies.
  • Exceptional at listening, written and oral presentation skills.
  • Able to work independently yet is an effective participant in cross-functional teams.
  • Self-motivated, self-disciplined, have a strong work ethic and capable of establishing priorities.
  • Flexible and able to adapt to changing priorities and effectively handle frequent interruptions.
  • Innovative, resourceful, detail oriented, with excellent follow through skills.
  • Capable of balancing multiple projects in stressful situations while meeting deadlines, achieving desired results, and maintaining positive relations.
  • Understands the importance of confidentiality of data and information.
  • Eligible to work in the United States.
