JOB SUMMARY: Responsible for the overall operation of the YWCA Best Choice

Center, a facility dedicated to improving the academic performance of children in grades K-8 through execution of after-school and summer camp programs led by certified teachers and trained counselors. Responsible for directing work of all employees and establishing and maintaining relationships with partner agencies and programs such as Crosby Scholars and Big Brothers/Big Sisters. Additionally, responsible for supervision of Juvenile Crime Prevention Programs.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Recruits, hires, trains, develops, and directs staff and volunteers responsible for executing programs of the Best Choice Center and juvenile crime prevention programs.

2. Develops all youth programs and sets and measures performance against objectives to monitor individual and program success rates for both academic and juvenile justice programs.

3. Develops annual budget for the Best Choice facility and all affiliated programs, recommends capital improvements, pursues grant funding in coordination with Development staff, and monitors budget for expense control.

4. Initiates key marketing initiatives to recruit new families into both after- school and camp programs at the appropriate time to maximize influx of new business.

5. Responsible for maintaining the integrity of the physical facility at the Best

Choice Center in partnership with the Facilities Director.

6. Responsible for reporting on all programming within the Best Choice Center umbrella to report to United Way, grants and potential funders.

7. Serves as a key participant on the Executive Team of the YWCA to provide input into current and future plans for stability and growth of the overall

YWCA organization.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s Degree in a field pertinent to childcare management or equivalent work experience and additional training.
• Management experience preferred.

Pay: $50,000.00 - $65,000.00 per year
