POSITION PURPOSE:

The Vice President (VP) of Marketing is responsible for overseeing the planning, development and execution of an organization's marketing and advertising initiatives in support of our sales driven organization. The VP of Marketing is a marketing leader who takes responsibility for overall marketing results of the company. This role oversees marketing strategies and efforts to strengthen company's market position and achieve desired business goals. The VP of Marketing's responsibilities will include deep involvement in our sales strategy and leadership, new business development, service channel development, and customer service. Must be both analytical and creative.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Responsible for strategic annual marketing plan and leadership of the development of the marketing team
  • Effectively drive completion of marketing strategies and tactics
  • Work closely with the sales department to align sales and marketing strategies
  • Manage marketing budget and expenditures
  • Maintain brand standards and ensure compliance across all marketing and communications channels
  • Develop the annual marketing plan and the strategies, tactics, and resources necessary to achieve goals
  • Provide leadership and/or support the design, development, and implementation of B2B and B2C strategies
  • Set and achieve strategic goals related to social-media metrics, advertising, and marketing campaign initiatives
  • Design and improve marketing campaigns for each aspect of our company
  • Negotiate fees and project details for outside contractors related to marketing and promotions
  • Propagate an enthusiastic company and brand message that will resonate with our target demographic
  • Oversee and provide market and competitor analysis
  • Provide leadership, direction, and management of the market-research function
  • Create an institutional and system-wide marketing reporting function that can track, measure, and analyze performance
  • Ensure all marketing communications are coordinated, support marketing plan objectives, and are an effective expenditure of resources
  • Manage external communications and support public-relations communications
  • Provide input and support to the company's leadership in the development of joint ventures, affiliations, and partnership arrangements
  • Participate fully in professional societies and activities related to the restoration and construction industries and the marketing profession.
  • Prepare presentations to explain the company's current and future strategies

QUALIFICATIONS:

Technical Qualifications:

  • Knowledge and practical experience with SEO, digital marketing tools, and related software

Experience:

  • 10+ years' experience in marketing and/or advertising
  • 5+ years' experience in a supervisory or managerial role
  • In depth knowledge of market research

PREFERENCES:

  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing or other business discipline, preferred
  • Master's degree in Marketing or MBA, preferred
  • Fluent in Spanish a plus
  • Fluent in French a plus

SPECIAL POSITION REQUIREMENTS:

  • This position requires up to 25% travel
  • Some international travel will be required
  • Must possess a current/valid passport

WORK REQUIREMENTS:

  • The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job
  • This is largely a sedentary role; however, some lifting is required. This would require the ability to lift files, open filing cabinets and bending, stooping, or standing on a stool as necessary
  • Valid drivers license required
