As the Vice President of Continuous Improvement, you serve as a senior academic leader for the College. You are accountable for all academic improvement activities at the institutional, program, and course level. You are accountable for all accreditation activities, and academic improvement activities for the College. To accomplish this goal, you must collaborate with all departments within the college and serve as a strong, collaborative leader for their team. You are passionate about quality, meeting accreditation standards, serving students, and must be a champion for improving processes and content that leads to a better student experience.

Day to Day Responsibilities

In this role you will wear different hats, but your skills will be especially essential in the following areas:

  • Provides vision and oversees implementation of quality improvement efforts and innovative program development across the College.
  • Serves as Accreditation Liaison Officer and manages accreditation processes for the college. Leads all accreditation initiatives and ensures the college is meeting or exceeding required accreditation standards.
  • Leads the assessment and academic improvement processes for the College. Uses data analysis, evidence collection, and committee recommendations to ensure quality assessment and program improvement.
  • Provides leadership in the development and implementation of technology as a critical tool in academics. Leads team to create tools and processes that support the adult learner.
  • Fosters improvements in programs through managing the state approval process. Works with dedicated personnel to assess states for potential approval and complete required program approval applications.
  • Serves as a member of Cabinet, crafts policies, strategies, and plans regarding institutional improvement.
  • Cultivates and maintains positive and productive relationships with a variety of stakeholders, constituencies, and organizations building brand recognition and growing enrollment.
  • Collaborate with the academic leadership to ensure quality instruction and the development and support of quality faculty
  • Maintains oversight of continuous improvement activities including Institutional Improvement System, Academic Comprehensive Program Review, Student Learning Outcomes Assessment, Instrument Development/Validation, Data Collection, Communication and Use of Data Summaries/Reports, and Organizational Development/Learning to ensure the College meets strategic goals and grows as a leader by serving students in innovative ways.
  • Leads preparation for site visits, collection, and presentation of document evidence, and supporting data.
  • Manages relationships and communication with regional and specialized accrediting agencies to provide accurate information about requirements.
  • Provides leadership for the collection and analysis of academic data to assist in the comprehensive integrated and continuous quality improvement of the curriculum and related elements.
  • Provides leadership in the development and implementation of new academic initiatives and works with the Field team and across the College to devise innovative learning solutions.
  • Collaborates with Institutional Analytics and Compliance on regulatory reporting projects.

Qualifications and Education Requirements

  • Master’s degree required; Doctorate preferred.
  • 5+ years of experience in higher education or education fields.
  • Must have experience in accreditation efforts, visits, and applications.
  • Experience in assessment and using assessment data for improvements.
  • Experience in developing processes using technology is strongly preferred.
