Vibration Analyst - CAT2 or CAT3 Job at Industrial Skilled Trades

Industrial Skilled Trades is looking for experienced CAT2 or CAT3 Vibration Analysts for contract opportunities in the Bedford Park, IL area. This project is anticipated to start immediately and is expected to last for several months. Pay is $44.75-$46.94/hr depending on CAT level. Level I Responsibilities and Requirements-

The Vibration Technician will be responsible for collecting machinery data, setting up data points in the field, collecting vibration data, learning of analyzing the data and reporting findings back to the customers. Perform Dynamic In-Place balancing and Laser Alignment on rotating equipment. Ensuring and maintaining open lines of communication between the customer and company is critical to candidate success.

Requirements:
  • Candidates require strong electro-mechanical troubleshooting and repair experience, and Level I certification in Vibration Analysis
  • Strong mechanical aptitude
  • Mathematical aptitude (algebra and geometry)
  • High School graduate or equivalent; some college preferred
  • Strong verbal communication skills, with the ability to speak directly to the issue
  • Ability to adapt to work environment and communication style of individuals relating to
  • Ability to effectively communicate with all levels of an organization
  • Ability to establish strong working relationships with customers
  • Strong customer focus and the desire to go the extra mile
  • Demonstrated computer proficiency (Word, Excel, Outlook & other Email)
  • SAP knowledge is a plus
  • Understanding of oil analysis, infrared thermography, ultrasound testing, balancing and alignments techniques.
Level II Responsibilities and Requirements-

The Reliability Analyst will be responsible for collecting machinery data for audits, setting up data points in the field and on the database set-up software, collecting vibration data, analyzing the data and reporting findings back to the customers. Perform Dynamic In-Place balancing and Alignments on rotating equipment. Perform oil analysis, Infrared thermography and Ultrasonic testing as needed by our customers. Ensuring and maintaining open lines of communication between the customer and company is critical to candidate success.

Requirements:
  • Advanced level candidates require strong electro-mechanical troubleshooting and repair experience and Level I & II certification or Level I and working toward Level II certification in Vibration Analysis
  • Strong mechanical aptitude or electrical aptitude

  • High School graduate or equivalent; some college preferred

  • Knowledge of various vibration database software and hardware i.e. CSI 2140 (Machinery Health Manager), SKF GX70 (@ptitude Suite), DLi Treo, GE Comtest, etc.
  • Knowledge of various balancing equipment
  • Ability to perform dynamic in-place balancing on various equipment (Fans, Pin Mills, Centrifuges, etc.) to industry standards
  • Knowledge of various alignment equipment and techniques
  • Ability to perform alignments to industry standards
