We have an exciting career position opening for a veterinary technician or assistant with receptionist duties. We offer medical, surgical, and dental services to our patients and are passionate about client education and detailed patient care. Prior experience is preferred, but we will consider training a motivated individual that has work experience caring for/working with animals in a dog kennel or day care, grooming, animal adoption facility, or rescue, etc. This is an active, full time (40 hours) position that requires answering phones, booking appointments, holding dogs and cats, sitting, kneeling, bending and standing to assist patients and veterinarians with examinations and treatments or surgery, processing laboratory specimens, taking radiographs, IV catheter placement, nursing care, and maintaining a clean work environment. A candidate for the position will be alert, able to communicate and educate clients, able to work alone and as a team, lift and carry 40 lbs., have a true love for animals, and be available to work during our business hours of Monday-Friday 8 AM to 7 PM and Saturdays 8 AM to noon.
