Are you a dedicated veterinary technician with a solid foundation in horsemanship, looking for an exciting opportunity to travel and work with some of the top equine athletes on the East Coast? If so, Atlantic Equine Services has a unique opportunity for you!

At Atlantic Equine Services we offer comprehensive expertise for the management of sport horses. Our services include lameness diagnosis, performance assessment, internal medicine, diagnostic imaging, advanced treatment options, and innovative rehabilitation. Our founder, Dr. Omar Maher, is a world-respected expert in lameness and sports medicine and has practiced equine veterinary medicine in four continents. He is board certified in Sports Medicine and Rehabilitation (ACVSMR) as well as Equine Surgery (ACVS). Our growing 4-veterinarian practice provides exceptional care throughout the Northeast, New England, and Florida.

The Ideal Candidate:
  • You possess excellent horse handling skills and ideally have at least two years of prior experience working in the sport horse industry.
  • You enjoy a change in scenery and are willing to travel seasonally between New Hampshire and Florida.
  • You are Motivated, dependable, and organized, have a strong work ethic and a love for equine athletes and the people they come with!
  • You are comfortable longeing and jogging horses in hand throughout the day and are familiar with equine restraint techniques for different procedures.
  • You understand the importance of clear & effective communication among clients and team members.
  • Must be able to lift and carry 50+lbs
  • Must have valid driver's license and clean driving record.
  • Must be able to pass background check and drug screening.

Anticipated Schedule (TBD):
  • One Full-time and possibly one Part-time position available
  • Weekend and after-hours availability is preferred
  • Travel is required! Seasonally our team works in:
    • New Hampshire: May – mid October
    • Florida: late October – April (Housing provided)
  • Hours vary by season:
    • Typically, 40-50 hrs./week
    • Monday – Friday with some weekend shifts.
  • Overtime is compensated.

Compensation & Benefits:
  • Salary is commensurate with experience ($18-$25/hour)
