We are looking for a board-certified surgeon to join our team. As a scope junkie, I would be particularly jazzed to add someone similarly-minded!

The Animal Emergency and Specialty Center of Knoxville (AESC) is a vibrant specialty referral and emergency hospital. We pride ourselves on providing state-of-the-art-care, thanks in part to our excellent referral base and committed clientele. However, what really makes AESC stand apart is its dynamic and positive culture. Specialists thrive on case collaboration, cultivating new skills, and adopting new techniques.

We have a modern and well-equipped facility, which currently is staffed by specialists in internal medicine (2), surgery (2), ECC (2) and oncology (1), as well as a bevy of emergency doctors. Neurology, Cardiology and other specialists will be added in 2023 once we complete our 20,000 square foot specialty expansion. Over 20 compassionate and highly trained Licensed Veterinary Technicians, numerous veterinary assistants and other support staff, and supportive administration complete the picture.

Current equipment includes Ligasures, high-def Storz tower with new laparoscopic equipment, Autocon III, Storz Ho-YAG laser, Sythes locking plates, ESF equipment, 16-slice CT scanner, modern ICU, high flow oxygen, ventilators, and I131 treatment center. Equipment to be added during expansion includes an MRI scanner, new CT scanner, linear accelerator, IR suite with ceiling-mounted fluoroscopy, and surgical suites measuring at least 18’ x 18’.
