Neel Veterinary Hospital, located in Oklahoma City, is a 24-hour facility offering Routine Wellness Care, Emergency, and Specialty services for cats, dogs, and exotic animals. We proudly provide the most advanced medicine in the state, with round-the-clock ICU, Hyperbaric Oxygen, CT, Physical Rehab, Laparoscopic Surgery, and Endoscopy being some of the services we offer.
We are adding to our team of Veterinary Assistants, who support our Doctors and Veterinary Technicians throughout the hospital. If you are looking to take your veterinary career to the next level, we want to talk to you!
In addition to our generous benefits package, we offer flexible schedules, shift differentials for overnights, and catered lunch & dinner every weekend! We even have on-site security overnight- so that you have the peace of mind to focus on your patients.
Some of the responsibilities you will own in this role:
Effective communication with both clients & team- Safe handling & restraint of animals
- Obtain vital signs & medical history
- Venipuncture
- Assist in performing diagnostics
- Administer medications and treatments
- Maintain equipment
Preferred qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Experience with small animals and exotics in a clinical setting
- Enrollment in an AVMA accredited veterinary technician program
- Saturday or Sunday availability
