Parowan Valley Vet Clinic is looking for a part-time Veterinary Associate to work 3-4 days a week.
This is an ideal situation for a veterinarian committed to quality community care who wants to maintain a good work/life balance with access to world-class outdoors recreation. We are a medium-paced small town practice with a devoted clientele and great community support. The area is growing rapidly and there is an increasing demand for our services. The practice is primarily small animal, but there is demand for large animal services if desired. We have wonderful support staff who are committed to our goal of quality, compassionate care. Diagnositically our practice offers in-clinic digital radiographs, Idexx hematology and chemistry analyzers, and basic ultrasound, We also have a surgical suite, and electronic medical records system. We do not have an isolation area and do not provide 24- hour attended hospitalization.

Located in Southern Utah with easy access to Utah “Big Five” National Parks and an abundance of other incredible outdoor recreational opportunities, Parowan is less than 30 minutes to Brian Head Ski
Resort and to Cedar City, a mid-sized university town with rich cultural resources. Easy access to I-15 means St George is only an hour away, and Las Vegas or Salt Lake City are easily reached.

The successful candidate must have a DVM and a Utah Veterinary License or eligibility. They must be able to work independently very quickly. They must also be committed to providing quality care and be able to clearly and empathetically communicate with our clients. The days/hours you work are negotiable depending on your needs and the compensation will be competitive and based on the amount you choose to work and past experience.

We are also looking for a relief veterinarian to cover 2 weeks to 1 month sometime in the upcoming 6 months while our current Vet completes some CME and takes some vacation time. The dates are very flexible and could give a prospective candidate a chance to experience the practice and the lifestyle we can offer before making a commitment.

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $50,000.00 - $100,000.00 per year
