Job Summary

Locate UGI facilities with electronic equipment as well as digital and paper records. Direct contractor vacuum excavation resources when additional locator confidence needs to be achieved.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Locate UGI Facilities.
  • Direct contractor vacuum resources.
  • Records research.
  • Perform other duties as requested.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

  • Knowledge in the use of electronic locating equipment.
  • Ability to read field records, construction drawings, and maps.
  • Knowledge of PA One Call Act.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal are essential to direct contractors in performing their work in the optimum manner to minimize cost to the company while performing their tasks safely and in compliance.
  • Knowledge of construction methods and practices related to the installation and maintenance of gas facilities, and familiarity of Federal, State, Local Codes and Safety Regulations that govern them.
  • Computer skills to include but not limited to Utilisphere, Outlook, Excel, and Word.

Education and Experience

  • High School Diploma or equivalent or five years’ experience in construction related field. Associate degree in Mech Design, Engr Technology, Science or Construction Management preferred.
  • 5 years’ progressive experience in the construction industry is typical and preferred.
  • Various UGI OQ qualifications.
  • Valid Driver’s License. Must obtain PA Driver’s License if current license is from another state.
  • Demonstrable computer skills and/or aptitude.
