Texas Instruments is seeking an experienced Benefits Manager to join our team! The individual performing this role will be responsible for the development, implementation and maintenance of the company's benefits programs including vacation, holidays, time off, sick pay, unemployment, retirement plans, disability, flexible spending, service awards, group health/medical/dental coverage, and life insurance.


Key Responsibilities Include:

  • Lead overarching benefits strategy and delivery for the US and Canada
  • Lead a team of benefits professionals by coaching, counseling, and mentoring to enhance team performance
  • Identify competitive benefits solutions while considering employee insights, external benchmarks and cost considerations
  • Lead development and implementation of benefits programs, including change management, project planning, compliance reviews, budgeting, and forecasting
  • Leverage and manage vendors engaged to support the design and delivery of our health and welfare programs
  • Ensure programs are developed and deliver to scale, with an emphasis on efficient and employee-focused processes
  • Partner with the communications team to develop and execute a strategy to help educate employees on benefit offerings and increase employee utilization of programs
  • Work collaboratively with various internal and external teams: vendors, consultants, finance, payroll, legal, HR Operations, ERGs and business leaders
  • Demonstrate an in-depth understanding of various benefits laws including ERISA, ACA, HIPAA, COBRA, FMLA, ADA, Section 125, Section 132, 401(k)


Minimum requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, finance, HR or related field
  • 5+ years of experience in benefits program strategy and administration with experience leading a team of benefits professionals

Preferred qualifications:
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment - must be flexible and able to quickly pivot in response to changing priorities
  • Strong understanding of applicable laws and regulations, including the ability to interpret & apply rules to program design and delivery
  • Skilled at anticipating problems, creating contingency plans, managing multiple priorities, problem solving and organizing logistics
  • Excellent analytical skills with the proven ability to make informed, data-driven decisions
  • Experience designing and implementing benefits/HR systems/tools, including electronic data flow between HRIS, payroll, & vendors
  • Strong consultative skills and the ability to build strong relationships with stakeholders across the business
  • Strong presentation skills coupled with the ability to simplify complex subjects both in oral and written communications
  • Ability to create budgets, analyze financial data and make projections
  • Experience managing benefits for a large company with multiple lines of business across the United States
  • Experience managing self-funded medical plans
  • Experience with retiree medical plans
