DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Universal Banker responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Create an exceptional customer service atmosphere, address customers with patience and attentiveness, and have clear communication skills.
  • Be responsive, accurate and timely with correspondence and problem resolution.
  • Perform daily office responsibilities including a variety of bank transactions including checking, savings, and loan transactions to maintain the efficient operation of the bank.
  • Processes all new account transactions; assisting customers in their selection of various accounts and financial services; cross-selling the Bank's products and services; opening, maintaining and closing of all account types; promoting business for the Bank by maintaining good customer relations and referring customers to appropriate staff for new services.
  • Assist and troubleshoot customer issues with Online Banking, Mobile Banking, Zelle and other products
  • Initiate conversations to understand a customer's financial needs and offer appropriate products and services on a need-based assessment.
  • Maintain an effective knowledge of bank products and services.
  • Accepting assignments and seeking additional projects to contribute to the effectiveness of a team environment.
  • Serves as backup Universal Banker at other locations as needed
  • Responsible for maintaining current knowledge of bank policy and procedures to perform the necessary duties to ensure compliance.


REQUIRED SKILLS, ABILITIES AND QUALITIES:

  • Team player with the ability to work with a team of talented and diverse coworkers.
  • Flexible and adaptable with the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong emotional intelligence with the ability to manage personal composure when confronted with difficult situations.
  • Effective oral and written communication skills with the ability to understand and explain customer situations in person, on the phone and by email.
  • Detail-oriented with the ability to organize and prioritize work.
  • Self-motivated with the ability to take initiative to utilize independent judgement in decision making and problem solving.
  • Strong numeric and grammatical aptitude.
  • General knowledge of all Microsoft Office products used by bank including Word, Excel, Outlook and Teams.
  • Ability to understand bank systems and programs
  • Two years of banking experience required.
  • Two to five years of customer service, sales, call center and or cash handling experience required.

Employee Type: Full Time, Flexible schedule including Saturdays
