Looking for an exciting opportunity to help the community? United Way of Central West Virginia is offering an AmeriCorps position to assist with the WV 211 helpline and other community service projects. In this national service position, you will have the opportunity to learn community leadership skills, gain practical work experience, and make a difference in the lives of community members in need of support through financial literacy education and referrals to local resources.
The individual will serve approximately 35-40 hours per week. With a signed contract committing to one year of service, LifeBridge AmeriCorps members receive many benefits, including:
- Living Allowance of $16,502
- Educational Award $6,495

Eligibility Requirements: * Be a United States citizen, a United States national, or a lawful permanent resident alien of the United States * Be at least 18 years of age * Have a High School Diploma or General Education Diploma (GED) * Submit to a FBI criminal background check * Submit to a nation sex offender check
