The job is to support Underwriting Producer in any way that is required in the quoting, binding & processing of any accounts worked on by Southwest Risk Agency Services.

Finding solutions to issues on your own initiative or, as appropriate, seeking assistance.
Responsibilities:
    • Email out all for SWRAS daily
    • Email out all Brokerage Policies
  • Binders – new and renewal
    • Review & Confirm Info on Filing Websites match our policies
    • Request Filings from Carrier
    • Send Confirmations to agent
    • Order and review MVRs and confirm acceptable drivers
    • Send documentation to carrier
  • Underwriting Documents
    • Follow up with agent until we have all required information to complete our files
    • Send documentation to carrier
    • If TX Account with filings and request to delete units, immediately confirm units removed from TxDMV
    • Keep Excel Spreadsheets updated with Current Unit Schedule for Accounts
    • Premium Endorsements – rate/issue/invoice/distribute/file
      • Rate Endorsements
      • Issue Endorsements
      • Invoice Endorsements
      • Distribute to agent
      • Make Notes on our actual policy with changes for future reference
      • Send documentation to carrier
    • Non-Premium Endorsements
      • Issue Endorsements
      • Distribute to agent
      • Make Notes on our actual policy with changes for future reference
      • Send documentation to carrier
    • Brokerage Carrier Endorsements
      • Review & Send to Carriers
      • Pend for Endorsement from Carriers
      • Process and / or Invoice once received from Carriers
      • Distribute to agent
  • DNOC & Reinstatements
    • Issue & Mail out DNOCs
    • Request DNOC from Brokerage Markets
    • Issue & Mail out Reinstatements
    • Call Premium Finance Company to confirm if payment received
    • Request Premium Finance Company to send us copy of Request for Reinstatement
    • Send documentation to carrier
  • Provide Endorsement Quotes
    • Rate Endorsement Quotes
    • Advise agent of pricing
  • Retail Agent Phone Calls
    • Coverage Questions on existing policies
    • Explaining Filings and how they work
    • Discuss our Markets and possible New Business Submissions
  • Carrier Phone Calls
    • Discuss whatever the carrier has questions on current policies
    • Call and Discuss Coverage Questions with Company Underwriters
  • Loss Runs
    • Retrieve some loss runs from carriers’ websites
      • Forward to our agent of record or insured
    • Request other loss runs from carriers
      • Pend for loss runs from carriers
      • Forward to our agent of record or insured once received from Carriers
  • Claims / Losses
    • Submit Loss Notice to Carrier
    • Forward Contact Info & Updates to Agent
    • Provide additional information to carrier and/or agent regarding loss
    • Review and Confirm matches our policy
  • Coverage / Procedure Questions
    • Review Policy and advise agent if coverage is included on our policies
    • Explain how certain situations are handled to agents
    • Explain how certain situations are handled to underwriters / brokers
    • Contact agents to get past due balances owed to SWRAS
      • Follow up until we have money or issue DNOC
    • Send all carrier invoices to our accounting department for handling
    • Respond to agents regarding some accounting questions or direct them to our accounting department
    • Answer Premium Finance Companies questions on new policies, endorsements, cancellations, etc.
    • Answer our accounting department’s questions
  • New Business Accounts
    • Clear Submissions in AIM & make IR folders, as needed
    • Review quotes prior to releasing when asked
    • Rate & Quote if needed
    • Make detailed notes on any information that will need to be addressed or reviewed for renewal
  • Documenting Files
Requirements:
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Extremely detail-oriented, well-organized and have time management skills
  • Microsoft Outlook, Word and Excel
  • A good, positive, energetic, attitude towards customers, markets & fellow employees
