Job Description:

GSG Protective Services is seeking Unarmed Security Officers to work at a Library in the Los Angeles area. Security officers will be responsible for maintaining the safety and security of patrons and staff on Library property. Qualified candidates will have a professional appearance and demeanor.

Qualifications:

• Valid Security Guard Card *(REQUIRED)*
• Valid Baton Permit *(REQUIRED)*
• Vaccine Card *(REQUIRED)*
• Reliable transportation and be willing to work at other posts if the need arises
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills; including the ability to understand and carry out verbal and written instructions
• Regular and punctual attendance to all shifts

Preferred Skillset:

• Detail Oriented
• Technology Savvy
• Strong Report Writing Skills
• Ability to provide exceptional customer service
• Public service oriented, with effective communication skills

Duties may include but not limited to:

• Being alert at assigned post at all times to ensure personal safety
• Monitoring various activities by making rounds in the interior and exterior of Library as needed to ensure the safety of all patrons
• Respond and assist with emergency situations on Library property
• Contact Police, Fire Department, or other emergency services as needed
• Practicing all safety rules and procedures at assigned post, as established by GSG Protective Services to ensure a safe and healthy work environment
• Sitting/Standing for prolonged periods of time

We set our team members up for success! Extensive training is provided for all officers before placement, as well as after being placed (and throughout your assignment). GSG has many advanced classes offered at no cost to GSG officers!
