Job Description:
Sonographer II

Functions as a healthcare provider who, working under the supervision of the Radiology management team, serves as a medical imaging professional providing clinically relevant information to assist the physician with the diagnosis and treatment of patients.

SKILLS AND ABILITIES
  • Demonstrated proficiency with computer skills and software programs used for documentation activities and report generation
  • Sonography education, training, and experience in the specialty area(s) to be performed
  • Maintains regular, consistent and punctual attendance at the assigned job location
  • Must be able to participate in "stand-by/on-call" rotation after regular department hours, weekends and holidays
  • Ability to foster a collaborative atmosphere with other members of the healthcare team

EDUCATION/CERTIFICATIONS/LICENSES/DEGREES
  • Graduate of approved Ultrasound training program
  • Valid Oregon permanent or temporary OBMI license required upon hire
  • American Heart Association Healthcare Provider Basic Life Support (BLS) required at time of hire

Holds a minimum of two specialty certifications from the following certification boards:
  • Sonographer certification by the American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS)
  • American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT)
  • Cardiovascular Credentialing International (CCI)

EXPERIENCE

One year of prior sonographer experience preferred
