The Unaccompanied Alien Children Program provides temporary residential care and other supportive services to Unaccompanied Children (UC) who are under legal custody of the Federal Government. Working in collaboration with the federal Office of Refugee Resettlement, the POH program provides a safe and nurturing environment for 439 youth as well as therapeutic and educational services and other supports that youth need to achieve success through an array of strength-based and targeted interventions as well as link them with family members and/or other sponsors in the United States so they are able to move forward with their lives and thrive.
Responsibilities:
The travel Coordinator will be responsible for the overall coordination of the travel arrangements needed to reunify a person supported with his/her sponsor. The Travel Coordinator will also coordinate any other travel arrangements needed for the minors during their placement at Rising Ground. The Travel Coordinator will supervise two travel staff in the program

  • Oversee a team of 20 plus to coordinate flights out as well as local pick ups
  • Contact airlines representatives to secure flights to the destination the children are going to
  • Maintain daily communication with the Program Director, Assistant Program Director, Lead Case Worker, Shift Leaders, and Program Nurse for the full operation of the job
  • Ensures that all travel needs are planned, organized, and executed in a timely manner
  • Maintenance of all Program vehicles
Qualifications:
  • College degree preferable
  • Two years' experience of administrative/managerial work
  • Knowledge of child welfare and immigration related legislation preferred
  • Excellent verbal, written communication and organizational skills are essential
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office is a must
  • Bilingual (English/Spanish) a must
  • $85,000.00
