Transport Driver Job at Griffith Energy Services, Inc.
The transport driver is responsible for the safe and efficient transportation of petroleum products to various locations.
Certificates, License, and Registrations:
Must meet all applicable DOT requirements
- A valid Class A CDL with tanker and hazardous material endorsements
- A valid TWIC card (where applicable)
- Passing score on road test
- A valid medical test and certificate
- Ability to pass a certified test for substance abuse
- Clean driving record required
- Ten year employment history
- Employment eligibility verification
Skills and Qualifications:
Communicates effectively verbally and in writing
- Exercises good judgement by making well-reasoned decisions
- Works independently while maintaining a high level of performance
- Uses computers and related technology efficiently
- Can add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure; using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals
- Ability to carry out instructions in written, oral, or diagram form
- Ability to deal with situations involving multiple variables
- Must possess the capacity to assess potentially hazardous situations and take action to protect people and property
- Has a working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite
- Possesses the ability to occasionally lift up to 50 lbs.
Recommended Education and Experience:
High school diploma, GED or an equivalent
- One to two years of related experience and/or training
- Equivalent combination of education and experience
