As a Transmission and Gear Box Technician candidates will primarily assemble but will also disassemble, clean, inspect and test as necessary.

As a Transmission and Gear Box Technician candidates will primarily assemble but will also disassemble, clean, inspect and test as necessary.
Essential Functions /Responsibilities :
- Assemble various transmission parts for driveline using core and new materials
- Inspect transmission parts used in assembly
- Test completed units to ensure they meet required specifications
- Follow work instructions, submit PCR for incorrect work instructions, contribute to continuous improvement
- Disassemble core per established processes
- Complete disassembly in time allotted per standard hours for each part
- Wash core
- Clean disassembled core pieces and grind them to meet specifications
- Send useable parts to inspection
- Send questionable parts to salvage
- Team Player, communicate effectively
- Uses existing procedures and basic problem-solving techniques to define or resolve routine problems
- Complete daily hoist inspection, daily pallet jack inspection, maintain good housekeeping practices
- Operate manual pallet jack, Dyno, press, copy machine, computer, various gauges, hoist, and various air tools
- Utilize an assortment of hand tools
- Meet daily production goals and complete assembly in time allotted per standard hours for each part
- Must be able to perform all routine and non-routine production duties for the driveline department
Requirements :
- High School Diploma or HiSet (Formerly GED)
- Regular, predictable and reliable attendance
- Requiring hours of service that would average at least 30 hours of service per week (full time), overtime
- Ability to read, write and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, Safety Data Sheets (SDS), Globally Harmonized System (GHS) labels, Job Safety Analysis (JSA)
- Ability to work with computers and software systems, must wear all personal protective equipment PPE
- Must be able to sit, stand, walk, bend, stooping, twist, reach, reach overhead, push, and pull
- Lifting requirements by area (check applicable area):
- Fuji: up to 30 lbs. constantly, 31-40 lbs. frequently, and 41-49 lbs. occasionally
- Combine: up to 20 lbs. constantly, 21-40 lbs. frequently, 41-49 lbs. rarely
- Carraro: up to 20 lbs. constantly, 21-40 lbs. frequently, 41-49 lbs. rarely
- Power Shuttle: up to 20 lbs. constantly, 21-30 lbs. frequently, 31-40 lbs. occasionally, and 41-49 lbs. rarely
- Work in a hearing conservation environment
- Work in a non-climate controlled environment
