Under administrative direction and broadly established policies set by the Board of Directors, President/Chief Executive Officer, and Leadership, manages and directs a discrete division of the organization. Avenues to Success is an enhanced Independent Living Program being piloted for youth who age out of Kentucky’s foster care system but do not qualify for a traditional independent living program due to a history of challenging and intensive needs. Built on the 7 pillars to success of Education, Employment & Career, Financial Management, Personal & Community Relationships, Health & Wellness, Transportation and Housing, Avenues to Success will provide eligible youth the opportunity to focus on key, individualized aspects of their life while they further their education; develop valuable job skills and gainful employment; address their untreated trauma and mental health challenges and build a network of supportive adults who will walk along side them into adulthood.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
  • Plans, develops and implements the Avenues to Success program on the Brooklawn campus under direction of the Vice President for System of Care Services and in collaboration with the Kentucky Department for Community Based Services, Aetna Kentucky SKY, Child and Family Services of Seven Counties Services, Residential Services of Bellewood & Brooklawn, local businesses and other youth serving agencies.
  • Plans, develops and implements the Avenues to Success program ensuring all governmental regulations and accreditation standards are met. Coordinates with other department heads, supervisor and various committees to facilitate efficient program administration and monitor current status, effectiveness, and needs of the program.
  • Plans, develops and implements the Avenues to Success program as part of the Residential Leadership team at Brooklawn and Bellewood; including coordination of life skills services and residential programming and oversight.
  • Plans, develops and implements the Avenues to Success program in close consultation and partnership with Child and Family Services at Seven Counties Services; including priority access to crisis, outpatient, intensive in home, transitional services and supports and medication management.
  • Consults and participates with Advancement, in development of all marketing and promotional literature, public relations efforts and fund raising for the Division and leads meetings/presentations with community leaders and businesses.
  • In coordination and consultation with the Chief Community Officer and the Vice President for Advancement, shares program updates and outcomes with key program funders.
  • Prepares and administers an annual budget including adjusting for seasonal fluctuations of expenses.
  • Ensures overall financial performance, including compliance with and reporting on parameters for all funding sources supporting the program.
  • Develops and implements annual operating plan, goals and objectives.
  • Monitors and analyzes program needs and performance to best leverage, utilize and support internal services and programs from Seven Counties services and Bellewood and Brooklawn.
  • Monitors quality and effectiveness of the program to ensure stakeholder satisfaction and to expand the program as indicated.
  • Provides direction and oversight of all program staff, including direct supervision, consultation and training.

EDUCATION
  • Bachelor’s degree in human services, or another closely related field; master’s degree in human services preferred.

EXPERIENCE
  • Eight to ten experience with the relevant program’s population with a Bachelor’s degree OR
  • Master’s level licensed clinician preferred with at least 5 years of supervisory and paid professional experience working with the program’s population
