Job Responsibilities


  • Acquire and assemble location and operations data on California businesses from a wide variety of sources (California Department of Tax and Fee Administration (CDTFA) sales and transactions tax records, city/county business license data, internet, business journals, etc.).
  • Analyze transactions & use tax allocations to isolate misallocations and deficiencies for special taxing district clients.
  • Document research and findings within the company’s propriety software application.
  • Prepare petitions and spreadsheets (along with supporting documentation) for submittal to the CDTFA.
  • Assist with processing CDTFA responses.

Skills and Qualifications

  • Strong research & analytical skills, ability to identify relevant trends, anomalies, and opportunities in large sets of data.
  • Professionally assertive with a positive attitude, strong work ethic and commitment to the team and companywide values, goals, and objectives.
  • Demonstrate ability and willingness to take ownership of a program/process, assuming personal responsibility for both productivity and innovation.
  • Strong computer skills, effectively use a variety of software programs including HdL sales and property tax applications, and Microsoft Office.

Education and Experience


  • 2+ years of relevant analytical experience required. Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration or related field preferred.

Compensation

The starting base for this Brea, CA position is expected to be between $20.00 to $25.00 per hour. Actual salary will be determined based on skills, experience (to the extent relevant) and other job-related factors, consistent with applicable law.
