Role Description
Our Training Specialists provide training support to Avance Care locations through educational sessions, training supplies and materials, curriculum creation, development programs and communication to ensure new and existing employees are set up for success.
Core Responsibilities
  • Research new training supplies and materials that can enhance practice training procedures while providing value to employees
  • Search for gaps in training content and materials that need updating to generate higher productivity and safety among staff
  • Develop and implement programs and content that meet organizational needs
  • Monitor processes for training and ensure compliance with all training requirements
  • Identify future training needs and create a curriculum to facilitate training
  • Lead and coordinate programs to assist employees with transitions due to technological changes, and practice implementation
  • Communicate with management, trainers, and team members to ensure that needs are met
  • Set up executive or leadership development programs for line level employees and front level managers
  • Conduct orientation programs and arrange on-the-job training for new hires
  • Communicate any specific problems to the Training Manager and assist with tailoring training programs as necessary
  • Evaluate effectiveness of training programs and areas of improvement
  • Create a learning environment that supports and encourages the team to implement actions that will produce sustained results
  • Maintain diligent training records for compliance purposes.
  • Proactively communicate completion of training/project deadlines to the Training Manager and assist to ensure compliance, including any remediation plans
  • Plan and facilitate training for new implementations and acquisitions
  • Assist with implementation of surveys for trainees providing education feedback
  • Help create educational modules fostering leadership growth specific to Office Mangers and Regional Managers
  • Other duties as assigned
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience, required
  • Experience and expertise in providing training in a variety of settings using different technology and approaches for multiple positions and roles, required
  • Experience in the medical field, preferred
  • Previous development of training programs and professional development programs, preferred

  • Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals
  • Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from managers, employees, clients, customers, and the general public
  • Ability to interact and communicate with a variety of people, both on a one-on-one basis and in meetings and group presentations
  • Familiarity with modern and traditional training methods
  • Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions
  • Ability to make independent decisions and delegate responsibility and duties
  • Ability to follow direction
  • Ability to think logically to troubleshoot, analyze situations, and make appropriate decisions
  • Proficient computer skills, including working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite, e-mail systems, and web-based programs
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously
  • Excellent leadership qualities
  • Knowledge and understanding of how for-profit medical practices run
