The Traffic Coordinator will serve as the point-person for all transportation-related issues at NYPBMH and will be responsible for the execution, enforcement, and monitoring of all elements of the Traffic and Parking Plan. The ideal candidate will have experience working in traffic coordination and familiarity with working in a healthcare or hospitality setting.
This is a full time day shift position Monday-Friday including flexibility to cover other shifts/weekends/holidays as needed, located at NewYork-Presbyterian Brooklyn Methodist Hospital.
Preferred Criteria:
- Associates's degree
- 1 year of experience in traffic coordination
- Successful completion of OSHA-10 and OSHA-30 safety training.
Required Criteria:
- High School Diploma/GED
- Basic computer skills
- Experience working in a healthcare or hospitality environment
- Knowledge of traffic and parking rules pertaining to the public right-of-way
- Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with employees, contractors, other departments, and the public
- Strong interpersonal skills and experience responding to consumer inquiries
- Ability to follow written and oral instructions
- Ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing
