Overview:

NET-TV, New York's Catholic Station is looking for a Traffic Coordinator who will be responsible for the accuracy of the program logs completed every day for NET TV. As Traffic Coordinator he / she will also be involved in every aspect of logging, assigning media ID's, downloading and formatting interstitials.

Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate daily with the team, Programming, Production, Sales and Broadcast Operations regarding incoming orders/issues affecting copy and logs being worked on; and any discrepancies that prevent the accurate and timely completion of the logs
  • Prepare daily program logs by obtaining information such as source, time, and length of programs
  • Creating the scheduling grid by assigning air dates to programs (adding start date, start time, duration, end time, channel, and source information) based on the broadcast schedule
  • Ensuring all material scheduled for broadcast has been received; approves and schedules dubs of programs
  • Scheduling all “break material” between programs and every element that is intended for airing during each program
  • Managing the program library for both long form and short form content; sending dubs for all content sent to broadcast
  • Manage break formats for scheduled and upcoming programs
  • Communicate Missing Allocations to the Programming Team. Alert the team of any potential scheduling conflicts or issues
  • Addresses viewer complaints as instructed by the Programming Manager

Background and Experience:

  • High school diploma or its equivalent
  • 1-2 years of copy, log editing, and order entry in broadcast/cable TV environment
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to articulate details and errors
  • Experience working with ProTrack or the ability to learn; or any equivalent combination of experience
  • Ability to conform to the time demands of the programming and television environment
  • Basic knowledge of Catholic Church, teachings, and/or faith-based traditions. Preferred not required
