POSITION PURPOSE
To provide support functions to four Transportation Coordinators and the Manager of Transportation for the SBU.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
- Compiles various reports to assist in management of rail equipment
- Maintains and distributes various metrics and KPI’s in multiple reporting platforms
- Manages vendor maintenance for transportation service providers
- Processes miscellaneous freight payables for transportation service providers
- Prepares weekly and monthly uploads of freight payables
- Assists in carrier qualification, carrier management, and carrier record retention
- Investigates and resolves freight payment inquiries from vendors
- Provides additional support for the coordinators and transportation manager as needed
