General Equipment & Supply is currently searching for a Tool Tech Apprentice in our fast-paced equipment, tool sales and rental environment who is Eager, Enthusiastic, and Extraordinary.

The Tool Tech Apprenticediagnoses, repairs and performs preventative maintenance to all mechanical equipment and tools. The ideal candidate will have minimal experience or be willing to get trained in the skill of repairing construction equipment and tools and/or repairing and maintaining personal motorized vehicles.

Essential Job Functions:

· Ability to diagnose and repair equipment such as bending equipment, hand and threading tools

· Ability to understand basic electrical schematics in order to diagnose and repair mechanical issues in construction equipment

· Must be able to perform preventative maintenance on tools and equipment

· Must be able to work overtime and weekends as needed

Physical Requirements:

· Must be able to stand, stoop, bend, walk, and reach on a frequent basis

· Must have full use of arms, wrists and fingers in order to successfully accomplish tasks

· Must be able to lift 50+ pounds as needed

· Must be able to work in a non-temperature controlled environment

Knowledge, Skills and/or Abilities Desired:

· Previous experience in repairing construction equipment

· Previous experience repairing and maintaining personal motorized vehicles

· Strong mechanical aptitude in construction equipment

Educational Requirements:

High School Diploma/GED ·

Previous coursework/satisfactory completion in technical and trade school strongly desired

Job Type: Full-time

Salary: $16.00 - $18.00 per hour
