Description: Golden Queen Mining Company, LLC (the “Company”) is operating a gold and silver, open pit, heap leach operation on its Soledad Mountain property, located just outside the town of Mojave in Kern County in southern California.
The Company is seeking a Mobile Maintenance Tire Technician for its Soledad Mountain Project (the “Project”) in Mojave. The Mobile Maintenance Tire Technician will perform tire service and repair work as well as basic general service functions on vehicles (all sizes), fleet inspections, scrap tire analysis and other duties as required on large mining tires and equipment. This is a safety sensitive position.
This position reports to the Mobile Maintenance Supervisor.

• Dismount and mount OTR commercial, passenger, and light tires to industry standards.
• Determines repairable tire conditions and makes needed repairs per TIA specifications.
• Mounts and safely inflates tires to prescribed PSI, per load requirements.
• Repair tires as needed; replacing valve stems, removing puncturing objects
• Operates all related tire service equipment including but not limited to; jacks, compressors, electric and hydraulic equipment.
• Keeping service truck, tools and equipment clean and maintained
• Maintains an organized and clean workspace; stacking tires, sweeping, etc.
• Ensures compliance with safety requirements as outlined by the company, along with those specified in OSHA and MSHA regulations pertaining to this position.
• Capturing & tracking all site data following and ensuring their issued schedule.
• Utilizes all safety related PPE such as gloves, safety glasses, etc., while doing any work.
• Other essential and non-essential duties, as assigned by management
• Perform routine inspections of the operating areas to ensure safe work areas
• Excellent and demonstrated personal commitment to safety & health
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements:

• 5 years in heavy mining equipment maintenance experience
• 5 plus years of OTR experience
• Up to date TIA Certification required.
• Effective communication skills – both oral and written, as well as solid interpersonal and problem solving skills
• Ability to drive results and ensure completion of time sensitive deadlines
• Excellent leadership skills and knowledge of influencing others
• Ability to promote safety in training and lead by example
• Competent computer skills including Microsoft Office; Word, Excel, Power Point and Outlook preferred
• Proven safe work record
• Driver’s license is required.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $25.00 - $42.34 per hour
